Rule 1: Never eat a cookie that has been sitting in a public place for more than 30 minutes. This includes, but is not limited to: cookies in a public park, cookies in a public restroom, or cookies in a public art installation.
Rule 2: Always inspect your cookie for any signs of tampering. Check for unusual packaging, suspicious ingredients, or an overabundance of sprinkles. If in doubt, do not eat the cookie. Instead, contact the authorities at Cookie Crisis Hotline.
Rule 3: Never eat a cookie that has been handled by a stranger. This includes, but is not limited to: cookies sold by a street vendor, cookies passed around at a party, or cookies given to you by a person in a brightly colored onesie.
