Procrastination Technique 5: Extreme Prolonging

A Masterclass in Doing Absolutely Nothing

Step 1: Find the most complex task imaginable.

Step 2: Break it down into smaller, even more complex subtasks.

Step 3: Realize that the subtasks are just as daunting as the original task.

Step 4: Repeat Steps 1-3 ad infinitum, creating an infinite loop of anxiety and dread.

Example: You want to clean your room? Break it down into subtasks like 'pick up a single item', 'dust the surface of a single item', 'reorganize the item into its exact original position'... The possibilities are endless!
