Relativity Ruckus: Relativity 101
Welcome, suckers, to Relativity 101!
Today, we'll be covering the basics of relativity, because, you know, it's not like you've got anything better to do with your time.
What is Relativity, Anyway?
- Relativity is a fancy word for "time is relative," which, let's be real, is just a bunch of hooey.
- It's a way to describe how fast or slow things move, which is totally different from how you're used to thinking, but trust us, it's a real thing.
- It's like, imagine you're on a train, and you're moving really fast, but then you look out the window and see a tree passing by, and you're all, "Whoa, that tree is going really slow!"
- No, wait, it's you who's moving slowly, you idiot.
Time Dilation, Schmyme Dilation
- Time dilation is when time moves really slow for you, but like, really fast for everyone else.
- It's like, you're stuck in a time loop, but it's actually a really boring one.
- It's not like, "I'm stuck in a time loop and I've got to relive the same day over and over," it's more like, "I'm stuck in a time loop and I've got to watch paint dry over and over."
