Describing the Unmentionable: A Fashion Catastrophe Glossary
Here's to the art of explaining what we can't explain: the art of fashion disaster.
Fashion Catastrophe - A garment that's gone horribly wrong. Think: pants with more holes than fabric, or a shirt that's shrunk to the size of a doll's dress.
Deconstructed Chic - A look that's intentionally messy, yet somehow still stylish. Think: a deliberate mismatch of patterns, a sprinkle of glitter, and a dash of utter despair.
Fashion Emergency - A situation where one's outfit has gone from "on-trend" to "off-the-rails." Think: you're at the mall, you spill coffee on your shirt, and it's suddenly a "statement piece."
Style Police - Those enforcers of fashion law, who patrol the aisles of department stores, handing out fines for bad taste.
