Instructor's Exceptional Exception Policy

At Our Institution of Higher Learning, we're all about embracing the unexpected. That's why we have a policy for handling exceptions. Exceptions to our grading policy. Exceptions to our policy on handling exceptions. And, of course, exceptions to those exceptions.

Here's how it works:

• When a student's work is late, we call it an "exceptional tardiness."
• When a student's work is not up to par, we call it an "unexceptional performance."
• When a student asks for an extension, we call it a "temporary reprieve."
• And when we run out of extensions, we call it "exceptional exhaustion."

Don't get us wrong, though. We're not heartless. If you're having a bad day, just let us know. We'll give you an extra time request and call it a day.

Or, if you're feeling extra exceptional, you can try to submit something truly remarkable. We might just have to make an exception... again.
