The Unwritten Law of Socks
According to Article 42, subsection 3 of the Unofficial Guide to Sock Etiquette:
Any sock that is missing from a pair shall be declared lost and shall be the property of the laundry fairy.
Any person found in possession of a lone sock shall be subject to a fine of 10 gold coins and shall be required to participate in a ritual dance of apology.
Any person who claims to be a sock connoisseur shall be required to prove their expertise by identifying at least 5 different types of fabric blends.
