Mandate 5: The Unyielding

Section 7, Subsection 3: "The Unyielding Clause"
Appendix B: Unyielding Examples | Appendix C: Unyielding Exceptions

Article 1: The Unyielding Definition

When a mandate is unyielding, it is as flexible as a cat in a bathtub. It cannot be bent or twisted without breaking. This is not a metaphor. It is a literal fact. Ask the lawyers.

Example 1: A politician's promise to balance the budget is unyielding when it is written on a cocktail napkin with a Sharpie.

Example 2: A teenager's commitment to their phone battery is unyielding when it's 3am and they need to scroll through memes.
