Mandate of the Month: Slipper Season
By order of the Council of Slipper Enthusiasts, you are hereby required to wear slippers at all public beaches, parks, and places with sand.
This mandate is non-negotiable, and failure to comply will result in fines, penalties, and possible confiscation of your favorite flip-flop.
Reasons Why:
- Prevents sandal-related injuries
- Encourages social cohesion by forcing people to talk to you while wearing ridiculous footwear
- Increases the overall aesthetic of the beach/park experience with a splash of tacky fashion

Disclaimer:
This mandate is entirely fictional, and you are not actually required to wear slippers at the beach. Unless you're in a place with really cold or really hot sand, in which case it's not like we're judging you.
