Mandate 42-D: The Unnecessary Regulation of the Century

In a bold move to combat the scourge of laziness, Mandate 42-D was enacted to ensure that every citizen has at least one hobby that they're not good at, but are forced to attend classes for.

As of this writing, citizens are required to take no less than 5 hours of mandatory "I'm Not Good at This" classes per week. These classes cover a range of subjects, including but not limited to:

• Extreme Pinochle
• Underwater Basketweaving
• Bonsai Tree Maintenance

Failure to comply will result in fines, penalties, and/or forced attendance of a mandatory 3-hour lecture on "The Importance of Effort" by a special guest lecturer, Professor Punsley.

Penalties for Non-Compliance

Failure to attend the required "I'm Not Good at This" classes will result in:

• A fine of 1000 credits
• Community service of 20 hours of watching paint dry
• Forced attendance of an additional 2 hours of Professor Punsley's lectures per week

Repeating offenders will be subject to:

• Revocation of privileges, including but not limited to: access to coffee, internet, and/or video games
• Assignment to a "reeducation" program, where they will be forced to relearn basic skills such as "How to Make a Proper Omelette" and "How to Tie a Tie"
