It was a Tuesday. A typical Tuesday. Except for the part where the meeting went on for 8 hours and 37 minutes, only to be adjourned without explanation or warning.
The room was filled with the stench of stale air, worn chairs, and the faint scent of despair.
We were all wondering what the purpose of this meeting was, only to find out it was just an excuse for Bob from accounting to take over the conference room for his 3-hour PowerPoint presentation on "The Importance of Excel Formulas".
And so, the meeting was adjourned. But not before we were all treated to a 30-minute presentation on "The History of Meeting Adjournment" that was so riveting that we almost forgot what we were meeting about.
And that, dear reader, is the story of the meeting that would not end.
