Why do we even bother showing up?

Here's why:

Free coffee
We get to use the conference room with the fancy projector
It's not as painful as doing actual work

John: "I'm here for the free food" Emily: "I'm here to network, I swear" Sarah: "I'm here because I lost a bet"

I lost a bet with my coworker, and now I'm stuck here.

I'm not really sure what's more exhausting, the meeting itself or the existential dread that comes with wondering why we're doing this.
