It started like any other meeting, with a projector that refused to work, the coffee machine dispensing only water, and the CEO wearing a "World's Okayest Boss" t-shirt.
The team lead, John, tried to give his presentation, but the slide deck froze on slide 3. Again. For the fourth time that month.
As we struggled to troubleshoot, the fire alarm went off. Literally. Someone had microwaved a fish in the break room.
Despite the chaos, we somehow managed to make progress, mostly because we decided to just roll with it and pretend the meeting was a "retreat".
We adjourned early, but not before setting up the next meeting for next week, which would inevitably be just as disastrous.
