Meeting Recap: Lie About a Fake Emergency
Today's meeting was a resounding success, mainly because we managed to lie about a fake emergency for exactly 27 minutes without getting caught.
We achieved this feat by using a complex combination of misdirection, deflection, and completely fabricated facts.
- John: "I'm pretty sure the cat's been kidnapped by aliens, and we need to send a rescue team." (Actual reason: "I forgot my lunch in the break room.")
- Jane: "I saw a suspicious-looking shadow on the wall, and I think it's a sign of an impending disaster." (Actual reason: "I spilled coffee on my shirt, and I'm worried about stains.")
- Bob: "I've been experiencing strange occurrences, and I'm convinced it's a plot to sabotage our project." (Actual reason: "I'm allergic to our new project manager, and I just want to go home early.")
Our meeting adjourned with a sense of accomplishment and a renewed sense of urgency to actually do real work.
Next meeting: Lie About a Fake Emergency (we're thinking of faking a fire alarm)
