Technical Terms as a Smokescreen

In a bold effort to confuse and intimidate their colleagues, some individuals have resorted to using technical jargon as a smokescreen to hide the fact that they have no idea what they're talking about.

This strategy has been observed in various forms:

Using "synergy" to describe anything that's not actually synergistic
Deploying "disruption" as a euphemism for "I have no idea what to do"
Asserting "paradigm shift" to mean "I just made it up"

But be wary, for the smokescreen is a thin veil, and the truth is often as plain as the code behind it.
