Dear Prophets of Progress,
As we gather here today, I'm reminded that all our planning is for naught. The future is as malleable as a wet noodle, and our carefully crafted schedules are but a distant memory, lost in the void of "stuff happens".
And yet, we persist. We create our grand, sweeping visions of productivity and efficiency, only to have them reduced to mere wisps of smoke on the winds of chaos.
…and so, I ask you: what's the point of planning, really?
Meetings: where the art of planning meets the science of procrastination. Where hours are wasted, and minutes are squandered. Where the phrase "I'll just check my email real quick" becomes "I'll just check my email real quick... for the next 3 hours".
