Meeting 2019: The Year of Redundant Meetings
Welcome to Meeting Archaelogy, where we excavate the dusty, forgotten remains of meetings past. Today, we're digging into the Meeting of 2019: the year that refused to end.
Meetings were longer and more frequent than ever before. It seemed like every hour had 30 minutes of meetings packed into it. People were meeting about meeting schedules. Meetings about meetings were meeting.
Key Discoveries:
- Meetings about meetings increased by 500% in 2019.
- Attendance to actual meetings doubled, while attendance to unnecessary meetings tripled.
- Some people started wearing name tags with their email addresses on them, because why not?
