After conducting an exhaustive study of 17 uncooperative participants, we have discovered:

We have identified three distinct categories of accidental jazz hands:

  1. The "Sudden Onset" – characterized by a sudden, unexplained appearance of jazz hands, often during times of high stress or caffeine deprivation.
  2. The "Gradual Descent" – marked by a slow, inexorable slide into jazz hand territory, often accompanied by a sense of impending doom.
  3. The "Spontaneous Eruption" – a rare but catastrophic event, wherein the participant's jazz hands appear seemingly out of nowhere, often with little warning or provocation.
