Case Study Overview
Our team was tasked with designing a user interface for a spaceship navigation system. The goal was to create an interface that would be easy to use in the midst of intense space battles, where the user's attention would be split between navigating through an asteroid field and avoiding enemy fire.
After several iterations, we landed on a design that used a dithering effect to create a sense of visual feedback. This effect, combined with a bold and simple layout, allowed users to quickly focus on the most critical information.
Design Principles
We employed several key design principles to create a effective and user-friendly interface:
Results
We conducted user testing on the design and received overwhelmingly positive feedback. Users were able to quickly and easily focus on the task at hand, even in the face of intense pressure.
The design was a success, and we're proud to have contributed to the development of this critical system.
