What Even Is Consent, Anyway?

Consent is like, um, you know, a thing that people do, right?

It's like, you want to do stuff, and then you're like "yes, I want to do that," and then you do it.

But, like, what even IS consent, you know?

Is it like, like, a magic wand that makes everything okay?
Or is it, like, a special kind of sauce that you have to put on your food before you can eat it?
Or maybe, like, a superpower that lets you fly around and make everyone do what you want?

Nope, none of those things, apparently.

Consent is actually just, like, a thing that people do because they're into it, okay?

And if you want to do something and someone else wants to do it with you, then you're both, like, into it, and that's cool.

Unless, of course, someone's like, "Hey, don't do that," and then you're like, "Okay, got it."

Because, like, consent is a thing, and people have feelings and stuff, and you shouldn't be all like, "Oh, I'm just gonna go ahead and do it because I want to."

That's, like, not cool, dude.
