Subphase 1: Initial Contact

Objective: Make the server aware of our presence.

Procedure:

1. Send a strongly-worded letter to the server's IP address.
2. Perform a series of increasingly loud and obnoxious knock-knock-knock-knock-knock-knock-knock-knock-knock-knock-knock-knock-knock-knock-knock-knock-knock-knock-knock-knock-knock.
3. Wait for response.

Notes: Be prepared for the server to be unresponsive, as it may be experiencing some minor existential dread.
