Proxy Report: A Study of Unnecessary Meetings
Section 2: What to Put in the Proxy Report
What to Put in the Proxy Report
A crucial question in the world of meetings: what exactly is the purpose of the proxy report?
Is it a list of attendees with their contact information? A summary of the meeting itself? A detailed analysis of the free coffee machine in the break room?
In all seriousness, the proxy report should include:
- Meeting minutes (or at least, the highlights)
- Action items (with assigned responsibilities)
- A brief summary of decisions made
- A list of open items for the next meeting
Anything more than this, and you're just padding the report. Don't do it.
