Debris Preparedness 101

Step 1: Hold on to your hat, because things are about to get messy.

• Secure all loose items, including but not limited to: cats, children, and small plants.
• Find a sturdy shelter or a bathtub, preferably with a non-slip surface.
• Stay away from windows and exterior walls.
• Keep your phone charged, but only for emergency purposes.
• Don't try to outrun a tornado, it's not like in the movies.

And remember: it's not just the tornado that's the problem, it's the debris that's the real challenge.
