BOCK BOCK BOCK RECIPE
Ingredients:
- 4 cups of Munich Malt
- 2 cups of Pilsner Malt
- 1 cup of Dark Munich Malt
- 1/2 cup of Saaz Hops
- 1/4 cup of Hallertau Hops
- 1/2 teaspoon of Ferulone
Instructions:
- Mash the grains for 60 minutes
- Spout 3/4 cup of Saaz Hops in the wort
- Add Pilsner Malt, mash for 15 minutes
- Spout 1/4 cup of Hallertau Hops in the wort
- Boil for 30 minutes
- Cool, ferment, and serve!
Notes:
This recipe is for the most basic of bocks, a style that's been perfected by monks for centuries.
Don't get too fancy, folks. A good bock is all about the simplicity of life.
But, if you must get fancy, try adding a hint of cinnamon or cardamom to give it a little kick.
Or, you know, just wing it and add whatever you want. We won't judge.
