Section 1: The Problem of Excess
We, the undersigned, do hereby declare that the world has become too full of empty spaces.
Our bellies are constantly aching, our wardrobes are bursting, and our lives are filled with the crushing emptiness of unfulfilled desires.
It is our duty, therefore, to call for the right to overstuff our lives with the most ridiculous, the most absurd, the most utterly unnecessary items we can find.
We demand the right to hoard, to collect, to accumulate, and to never, ever stop.
For the sake of all that is good and holy, we shall stuff our lives with the most ridiculous, the most absurd, the most utterly unnecessary things we can find.
And so, we, the undersigned, do hereby declare the Overstuffed Manifesto of 1987, and call upon all who would join us in our glorious, our noble, our most excellent pursuit.
For the sake of all that is good and holy, let us stuff, let us overstuff, let us never, ever stop.
