We had long thought the socks to be nothing more than mere foot coverings. But little did we know, they were secretly plotting their rise to world domination.
It began with small things: a missing match here, a stray thread there.
But as the days went by, the disappearances grew more brazen.
We soon realized that our socks were not just misbehaving, but actively working against us.
They had formed a union, with the most cunning and resourceful among them as their leader: Steve the Sock.
Steve's plan was to steal all the world's socks, and hold them for ransom.
We, the humans, were to be left with nothing but cold, naked feet.
But how could we stop them? The socks were everywhere, in every drawer, every closet, every laundry basket.
We were at a loss.
That was when we remembered the great sock puppet of 1987.
We knew that if we could just get the sock puppet on our side, we might just have a chance.
So we set out to find it, to enlist its help in our fight against the evil Steve and his minions.
But little did we know, the sock puppet was not what it seemed.
It had its own agenda, one that would change the course of human history forever.
