Chapter 4: The Art of Slightly-Better Than Average Divining

In the world of prophecy, one must always be prepared. This chapter will cover the finer points of divining with a hint of flair, a dash of panache, and a pinch of 'I'm-not-quite-sure-what-I'm-doing-but-I-think-I'm-getting-it-right'.

Divining, as any self-respecting prophet will tell you, is an art.

And so, we must first start with the basics: the correct way to hold your divining rod.

Step the First: Hold the rod with a firm yet delicate grip. Not too tight, not too loose. Like the gentle caress of a summer breeze on a warm day.

Step the Second: Angle the rod at just the right degree. A slight tilt, a subtle sway, a dash of 'I've-got-this'.

Step the Third: Wait for the signs. The quiver, the quiver, the utterly-not-quiver-at-all-but-just-a-regular-old-broomstick.

And then, of course, comes the interpretation. A delicate dance of 'maybe-this-is-it,' 'no-it's-definitely-not,' 'hmm-I-see-what-I'm-looking-for-now.'
