Lettuce Surgery 2: The Reckoning
Dr. Reginald P. Bottomsworth, renowned lettuce surgeon, stood before the operating table, his hands shaking with anticipation. The patient, a particularly large and unruly head of romaine, lay motionless on the gurney.
With a flourish, Dr. Bottomsworth snatched up his trusty scalpel and set to work, his fingers slicing through the crisp green leaves with precision and ease.
As the hours passed, the room grew thick with tension. The nurses in the corner whispered among themselves, their eyes fixed on the clock, their faces pale with worry.
And then, in a moment of pure, unadulterated brilliance, Dr. Bottomsworth declared, "I have a plan!"
With newfound hope, the nurses leaned in, their eyes wide with expectation. "We're going to transplant the entire head of lettuce into a 3D-printed, titanium exoskeleton!"
