Woogie Wars Timeline

In the depths of 1950s Louisiana, a peculiar conflict brewed between the local jazz musicians and the town's eccentric mayor, known as "The Squelchord." The mayor, obsessed with 17th-century European classical music, sought to replace the soulful sounds of jazz with his own rendition of "Who's on First?"

As tensions escalated, the jazz community rallied under the banner of "The Boogie Brigade." The war for boogie rights began, with trumpets blaring and trombones tromping through the streets of Bayou Boudreaux.

Key battles included: Woogie Wars: Chapter One (1954), Woogie Wars: Chapter Two (1955), and the infamous Battle of Bayou Boudreaux (1956).

The war finally ended with a Peaceful Resolution, where The Squelchord, realizing the error of his ways, opened the town's first jazz club, "The Squelchord's Squonk." The Boogie Brigade, victorious but worn, disbanded, their legacy living on in the hearts of the people and the soul of the city.
