Department 42 Annual Report 2022: A Year of Unrelenting Red Tape

Highlights of the year:

• The Department 42 Employee of the Year Award was won by the person who managed to fill out the most forms.
• We successfully implemented our new system of filling out forms in triplicate, because why not?

Criticisms and Praise

We were heavily criticized by the Ministry of Efficiency for being too inefficient. On the other hand, the Departmental Union of Bureaucrats praised us for being "adequately bureaucratic" in their annual survey. The Departmental Review Committee noted our "interesting use of color in our reports" but deducted points for "lack of creativity in our forms." We were awarded the Golden Stapler for "Most Forms Filled Out in a Single Shift" by the Bureaucratic Association of America.
