Sudden Onset Existential Dread

n. 1. A sudden, inexplicable sense of cosmic uncertainty and impending doom, often accompanied by a strong desire to reorganize one's sock drawer.

Example: "I was making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich when I felt it: Sudden Onset Existential Dread. I dropped the knife, walked away from the kitchen, and spent the rest of the day reorganizing my bookshelves."
