Tips for Dealing with Fridays
It's like, 5pm on Friday, and you're stuck in a meeting that could've been an email, but noooo, your boss is sucking the life out of you. Don't worry, friend, we've got you covered. Here are some tips:
- Make your excuses early. Tell your boss you have a 'personal emergency' that requires your immediate attention, like your cat's 8th birthday.
- Bring your A-game. Show up to the meeting with a presentation, a whiteboard full of notes, and a 'I'm-so-excited-to-be-here' grin.
- Make a bet with your coworkers. If you can guess how many minutes it'll take for the boss to start rambling, you win.
- Daydream about the weekend. Visualize all the Netflix shows you'll watch, the pizza you'll eat, and the productivity you'll accomplish on Monday morning.
- Take deep breaths. Repeat after me: "It's almost over, it's almost over, it's almost over..."
