As we discussed in Chapter 1, the existential crisis of coffee is a fundamental aspect of human experience. But what of the foam?
Is it merely a triviality, a fleeting manifestation of milk and air, or is it something more?
We propose that the foam is, in fact, the very essence of coffee. It is the Platonic ideal of the coffee experience. The solid, the liquid, and the gas all converge to create the perfect cup.
