After weeks of searching, I finally found myself in this predicament. I was in the middle of binge-watching my favorite show, and I had to get up to get some snacks. But when I returned, the remote was nowhere to be found. I searched every room, under every couch cushion, and even in the fridge (don't ask).
I called my roommate, who just shrugged and said "I think I saw it in the laundry basket." I went to check, but it wasn't there. Then I called my mom, who said "I thought you said you were watching TV, not searching for the remote." I was about to call my dad, but then I remembered he's not even in the country.
