The Myth of Sisyphus
Sisyphus, the ancient Greek king, was a bit of a slacker. He preferred the finer things in life, like lounging in his palace and sipping ambrosia cocktails. However, his father-in-law, Zeus, was having none of it.
Sisyphus was condemned to roll a boulder up a hill as punishment. And not just any boulder - it had to be rolled all the way up. No matter how hard he pushed, the boulder always rolled back down, and Sisyphus had to start over again.
The Modern Sisyphus
In modern times, Sisyphus' spirit lives on. We've taken the concept and applied it to our daily lives, with tasks like
- Rocky Relationships - where the boulder is the in-laws
- Eternal Emails - where the boulder is the never-ending inbox
- Sisyphean Debt - where the boulder is the credit card bill
- Rocky Entitlements - where the boulder is the DMV
