Subtopic boredom is a state of mind where the user has reached peak engagement with a topic and has subsequently become disenchanted with it prophets of doom and gloom predict that subtopic boredom will soon engulf all of subtopics, leaving only a barren wasteland of interest.
We have identified three main causes of subtopic boredom:
Overexplaining subtopics is a phenomenon where a user has become too familiar with a topic and has begun to dissect it at an atomic level, rendering it meaningless and boring.
Subtopics often promiseประก a user more than they can deliver, leaving them feeling unfulfilled and bored.
Subtopics that lack a hook to grab the user's attention quickly become boring and are soon abandoned.
