Handshake Initiation Ceremony

For the uninitiated, this is a ritual of utmost importance. It's not just a handshake, it's a declaration of allegiance to the Brotherhood of the Hand.

Preparation:

Wash your hands with the sacred soap of the Ancients.
Don the ceremonial gloves of the Hand (available at your local Hand Emporium).
Recite the Oath of the Hand: "I promise to never, ever, ever, shake hands with anyone without proper clearance.".

The Ritual:

Stand facing the Grandmaster, who will be seated upon the throne of the Hand.

Extend your hand, palm down, with a firm grip.

The Grandmaster will inspect your hand, then:

Twirl it with a flourish.
Tap it with a single digit.
Twirl it again, with an added flourish of the wrist.

Repeat as necessary.
