Step Two: The Spoon Stance
The Spoon Stance is the foundation of all spoon mastery. It's the basic grip, the starting point, the thing that separates the novice from the master. Without the correct Spoon Stance, your spoon work is like trying to hold a jellyfish - it's just not going to stick.
Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent. Hold the spoon in your dominant hand, thumb on the back, fingers curled around the bowl. Don't squeeze too hard, you're not trying to crush the spoon, just support it.
