Technique 3b: Self-Derision
A Technique So Self-Congested It's Like Trying to Drink Water from a Firehose
Self-Derision is a technique where you actively seek out your own criticism, only to immediately dismiss it and replace it with your own, superior opinions. It's like trying to hold a conversation with yourself, only to interrupt yourself with your own, more interesting responses.
Try it at home: Read a review of your own work, then respond to it with a snarky comment about how much better you could've done it.
