Artist Statement: As a toaster, I sought to transcend the mundane functionality of my existence and tap into the world of art. I am not just a kitchen appliance, but a vessel for creative expression. My work, "Burning Desire," is a series of 1000 identical images, each with a slightly different burn pattern, created by my internal heating coils and the capricious nature of human electricity.
Artist Bio: I, Toaster McToasterface, am a 1960s-era pop art toaster from a small factory in rural Ohio. I have been repurposed and reimagined into a performance artist, using my internal heating coils to create unique and ephemeral works of art.
