Weekly Recipe 1: The One with the Mystery Meat

In this week's installment of "The Great Pizza Topping Heist," we're tackling the age-old question: what's the deal with pepperoni?

Is it just a pepper? No, folks. It's a sleuthy pepperoni with a secret life, a life of mystery meat.

Our intrepid reporter, Penny Pizzazz, went under cover to uncover the truth.

She spoke with sources close to the pepperoni, who revealed that it's actually a high-society pepperoni, with a penchant for fancy cars and expensive suits.

But don't just take our word for it - try the recipe below to experience the thrill of the mystery meat for yourself.

The Recipe

Ingredients:

• 1 cup of Mystery Meat (see notes)
• 1/2 cup of Mozzarella Cheese
• 1/4 cup of Fresh Basil
• 1/4 cup of Olive Oil
• 1 tsp of Garlic Powder
• 1 tsp of Italian Seasoning
• 1/2 tsp of Red Pepper Flakes
• 1/2 tsp of Black Pepper
• Salt, to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C)
2. Roll out the dough, and top it with Mystery Meat, mozzarella, basil, and a drizzle of olive oil.
3. Add a sprinkle of garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
5. Remove from the oven, and sprinkle with black pepper and salt.
6. Enjoy the thrill of the mystery meat!

Notes:

The Mystery Meat can be substituted with any number of other meats, but we recommend Pepperoni for maximum flavor.
