Threat Severity Index: Low Medium High

Warning: The Troll Threat Severity Index is not a reliable metric for measuring the likelihood of an individual being a troll. However, it can be used as a rough guide to determine whether someone is likely to post inflammatory comments, engage in petty arguments, or simply exist to ruin your day.

Low

A score of 1-3 indicates that the individual is probably just having a bad day. They might be experiencing some minor frustration or annoyance, but it's unlikely they'll escalate into full-blown troll territory.

Early Warning Signs: Sighing, grumbling, mild profanity

Medium

A score of 4-6 indicates that the individual is getting a bit testy. They might be on the verge of losing their temper, but it's still possible to de-escalate the situation with some tact and understanding.

Escalation Tactics: Passive-aggressive comments, condescending humor

High

A score of 7-10 indicates that the individual has reached peak troll. They're probably beyond reason, and you're best off just walking away.

Defanging the Troll: Leave a polite response, ignore their existence, or simply walk away with a 'I'm done with this' attitude
