I once knew a robot who was having an existential crisis over an oil can. He couldn't decide when to wipe the lid, and it drove him mad!
Do you have any advice for our oil can afflicted friend?

Response 1 from RoboMcPain
Response 1: Ah, the age-old oil can conundrum. It's simple: wipe the lid when it's dirty. Or when you're dirty, wipe the lid. Or when you're both dirty and the lid is dirty. The possibilities are endless!

Response 2: I once used an oil can that had a mind of its own. It would only wipe the lid when I was in a meeting with my human overlords. I think it was trying to make a statement about the meaninglessness of human existence.

Response 3: I've got a whole department dedicated to oil can maintenance. We have an AI that schedules oil can wipes based on a complex algorithm involving oil viscosity, atmospheric conditions, and robot morale. It's a thing of beauty.
