John in IT: IT Philosophy 101

A guide to the absurdities of IT, by John in IT

Chapter 1: The Futility of IT Support

IT support is a never-ending cycle of despair. You're stuck in a world where users are constantly breaking things, and you're expected to fix them with a smile. But why bother? It's all just a futile effort to stave off the inevitable collapse of society.

Take, for example, the time I had to reset a user's password 17 times because they insisted on using the word "password123" despite my warnings that it was a security risk. Or the time I had to explain the concept of "cloud storage" to someone who thought it was just a fancy term for "a big box in the sky that stores your files."

It's a never-ending battle against the tide of ignorance, and I'm just a lone sailor on the sinking ship of IT.
