King Gilgamesh
Gilgamesh, king of the city-state of Uruk, ruled from 2600 to 2500 BCE. He was a demigod, the son of the goddess Ninsun, and was known for his incredible strength and wisdom. His reign was marked by a series of military campaigns against the city-state of Kish, which he eventually conquered.
Gilgamesh's greatest achievement was the construction of the wall of Uruk, which was said to be impregnable. However, this was not without its challenges. The wall was built using a combination of stone and mudbrick, and was over 300 km in length. It took 7 years to complete and required the labor of thousands of workers.
