Committee Foosball League Rules and Regulations

Article 1: Purpose

The Committee Foosball League is a competitive tournament where members of the Committee for the Advancement of Bureaucratic Red Tape (CABRT) gather to engage in a high-stakes game of foosball, all while discussing the finer points of committee procedure and office politics.

Article 2: Eligibility

Only members of the CABRT are eligible to participate in the tournament.

Article 3: Game Rules

The game of foosball shall be played according to the official rules of foosball, except where these rules conflict with the whims of the tournament director.

Article 4: Tournament Format

The tournament shall consist of a single, best-of-three game match between two teams of three players each.

  • Game 1: Winner of game 1 vs. Winner of game 2, with a 10-minute time limit
  • Game 2: Loser of game 1 vs. Second-place finisher of game 1, with a 15-minute time limit
  • Game 3: Winner of game 1 vs. Second-place finisher of game 1, with a 20-minute time limit

Article 5: Tiebreakers

In the event of a tie, the game shall be replayed with a randomly selected player serving as the tournament director for the duration of the replay.

Article 6: Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall be resolved through a series of increasingly absurd dance-offs, with the winner of the dance-off declared the winner of the tournament.
