By order of the Committee on Pointless Committee Affairs, it is decreed that the Foosball League shall follow the following rules:
The official foosball table shall be a regulation-sized, manual-control, no-flipper table with a smooth surface.
Subrule 1.1: The table shall not be altered or modified in any way, unless a 2/3 majority vote of the Committee on Pointless Committee Affairs is obtained.
Subrule 1.2: Any attempts to install a automatic flipper or other non-manual control system shall be met with stern disapproval and possible termination of membership.
Subrule 1.3: The table shall be kept in a state of pristine condition, with all scratches, dings, and other imperfections lovingly restored to their original state.
Players shall conduct themselves in a sporting manner, refraining from trash talk, excessive celebration, and deliberate foosball-table-related injury.
Subrule 2.1: Any player found guilty of unsportsmanlike conduct shall be subject to a 5-game suspension, or a 1-game penalty, at the discretion of the Committee on Pointless Committee Affairs.
The scoring system shall consist of a single point per goal, with a minimum score of 0 and a maximum score of 5.
Subrule 3.1: Any player who achieves a score of 5 or greater shall be declared the winner and receive the coveted Golden Foosball Trophy.
Any player or team wishing to submit a complaint or appeal a decision shall do so in writing, with a minimum of 5 copies of their grievance.
Subrule 4.1: All submissions and appeals shall be reviewed by the Committee on Pointless Committee Affairs, who shall render their verdicts with the utmost haste and impartiality.
