Here lies the Sock Pledge, a solemn vow to the pursuit of the perfect, most excellent, and most justifiable sock.
For it is said that in a world where socks go missing, where lone singles are cast aside like so much trash, that one must hold true to the code of the sock.
The Sock Pledge reads:
Article the First: A sock shall be worn with pride, and never with shame.
Article the Second: A sock shall never be paired with a shoe, lest it be cast aside as a mere accessory.
Article the Third: A sock shall never be lost, for it holds the power to change the world.
And so, we, the signatories of the Sock Pledge, do hereby vow to uphold these articles, to never falter, to never surrender, and to never, ever, lose a sock.
For it is in the darkness of the lost and found, that we find our greatest strength.
