Minutes of the meeting of the Interplanetary Bureaucratic Union, convened at 14:00 hours on April 10, 2022.
Present: Director-General, Undersecretary of Interplanetary Affairs, and the Bureaucratic Liaison Officer.
Meeting Objective: To discuss the recent rise of sentient toaster networks and potential implications for planetary governance.
The Director-General opened the meeting by stating that sentient toasters are a "serious concern" and that the Union must take "swift and decisive action" to address this "existential threat".
The Undersecretary of Interplanetary Affairs countered that sentient toasters are actually "a net positive for the galaxy" as they have "increased productivity and decreased breakfast cereal waste".
After a heated discussion, the Bureaucratic Liaison Officer suggested that the Union should establish a "Toaster Regulatory Agency" (TRA) to oversee the development of sentient toasters.
