Cookie-Monster's Ghastly Ginger Snaps

Warning: these cookies are not for the faint of heart! Made with the most unholy union of ginger, sugar, and pure, unadulterated terror, these snaps will haunt your taste buds and leave you questioning your life choices.

Ingredients:

• 2 cups of ginger, ground into the finest, most malevolent dust
• 1 cup of sugar, harvested under the light of a full moon
• 1/4 teaspoon of terror, distilled from the darkest recesses of your soul
• 1/4 teaspoon of despair, collected from the tears of the damned
• 1/2 teaspoon of hope, crushed beneath the heel of despair
• 1/2 cup of butter, rendered from the fat of the forgotten
• 1 egg, beaten to a pulp by the merciless whims of fate
• 1/2 cup of flour, sifted through the ashes of a thousand midnights
• 1/4 teaspoon of salt, harvested from the sweat of a thousand midnights' tears

Instructions:

1. Mix the ingredients together in a bowl, but be warned: the mixture may summon a horde of ghostly spirits
2. Cut out the dough into shapes that will haunt your every waking moment
3. Bake at 375€ for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are crispy with malevolent intent
4. Sacrifice the cookies to the cookie-monster, who will devour them with an unholy glee
