Grammar Nazi Rules

Rule 1: Thou shalt not use 'they're' for 'there' or 'their'

Example: "I went to the store, and they're going to buy milk" should be "I went to the store, and there's going to be milk"

Rule 2: Thou shalt not use 'who's' for 'whom' or 'whose'

Example: "Who's coming to the party tonight?" should be "Whose coming to the party tonight? (Note: Whose is the correct form to use when referring to possession, while whom is for objects or people in a sentence)

Rule 3: Thou shalt not use 'its' for 'it's'

Example: "The cat purrs when it's happy" should be "The cat purrs when its happy"

Rule 4: Thou shalt not use 'affect' for 'effect'

Example: "The loud music affects my mood" should be "The loud music has an effect on my mood"
